Product Review: FHI Flat Iron

Reviewer: Cinnamon Kitten

Brand: FHI
Name: Flat Iron
Size: 1"
Approx. Price: $175 CDN

This FHI Flat Iron in a pretty shade of pink has a lot of features, including:
- 20 times more negative ions than the nearest competitors (negative ions allow more water to be absorbed into the hair, thus enhancing the condition of the hair)
- ultra rapid heat up time and superior heat recovery
- 3 baked layers of ceramic plates
- can be used on damp (towel-dried) - no need for blow drying

"FHI made their name in the industry with the Platform Series of variable heat, ceramic tourmaline flat irons that use the most advanced ceramic heating in the world to create the best style effects that preserve your hair's health. Nano silver and nano titanium oxide keep your hair and iron free of chemicals and bacteria, while damp-to-dry styling is also possible! FHI's Platform Series use the largest PTFC heaters in their class, meaning faster heat up, greater heat control and retention." (from the web site)

To Purr About:
- heats up really quickly
- 1" width is probably the best size to get, as it's pretty versatile. I have super-straight, thick hair and I created ringlets and waves in about 20 minutes with this flat iron
- didn't really need to use any product to smooth down my hair after using this, although a little extra product ensures your look lasts longer
- extra long cord makes it easier to manage

Claws Out:
- none really
- just be careful as it gets REALLY hot

Final Comments:
I love this flat iron - it's quick, easy to use and really versatile. When I want something fancy (and had long hair), I could create curls in my poker-straight Asian hair. Not that I have a bob, it's perfect for smoothing out my straight hairs in a few minutes to get my sleek look instantly. The cute pink colour is a bonus!

Rating (out of 5):

*SALE ALERT* is having a great sale on this particular iron and several other flat irons right now - you can get this pink FHI Flat Iron for $119.99 USD (and yes, they ship to Canada). You can check out this particular flat iron here.

This hair straightener is quite well. But i always recommend either CHI straightenr or GHD straightener.
