Women's Health 2011 Beauty Awards

Lots of Beauty Awards being given out lately and I love browsing the lists to see if there's any products that I should add to my shopping list. Are there any on this list that you also agree is a big winner? Any that you think shouldn't have made the cut?

All prices are in US Dollars and are approximate.

Award Name: Women's Health 5th Annual Beauty Awards

The Selection Process:
Readers and experts fill out open-ended ballots, which allow them to give the full name of the product they’re voting for.
- Readers: The readers' ballot is posted on WomensHealthMag.com and consists of 28
categories across hair, makeup, facial skin and body.
- Experts: The experts (hairstylists, makeup artists and dermatologists) receive a ballot with the same category options as readers but tailored to their specific area of expertise.
- Editors: The Women’s Health editors are responsible for choosing the best new products on the market.

For the 2011 awards, the products under consideration were those that launched between January and June 2011.

I think the only problem with these awards is that they are always big brands! They rarely showcase independent or smaller brands which is why I love blogs. If I didn't read CK how would I know about those cute honeybear shampoos from ABL???? :D

I love this magazine. I folloew them on twitter & always find the most awesome articles, etc.

Thanks for this post! lots of good info. I do see "Skin Scrubs" point though.

But at least it gives us some good products to try. =)

I haven't ever read an actual print copy of Woman's Health, but I hope they also promote independant companies/products.

Are any of the products organic?

Hi Jaden,

From going through the list, I don't think any are certified organic, although I'm not 100% sure. Most of these tend to be well known brands.

I do know that the Yes to Blueberries product is 99% natural.

Skin Scrubs' point about the big brands is probably why a lot of these aren't organic.

These are some best beauty and hair products. I've used many of them and they are my favorite. Specially the best for body products are nice. They should also include a best body polish or scrub in the list.
