Recently I got to try 2 different Lubriderm products so to really compare them, I put one product on each leg/foot for a few days and compared them to each other. My legs have seriously been dry lately because of the harsh winter winds we've been having so it was a perfect time to test these products!

This Lubriderm claims to be:
- a rich, non-greasy, non-comedogenic lotion [that] soothes, softens and helps to heal severely dry skin
- replenishing and restoring formula contains Vitamins A and E
- clinically proven to moisturize and protect extra dry skin for 24 hours
- fragrance-free and gentle enough for sensitive skin

This lotion is supposed to be aimed at "Dry, Flaky Skin".

To Purr About:
- light, sweet scent is really nice
- absorbs quickly
- leaves skin soft and smooth
- definitely made a difference in my skin's moisture

Claws Out:
- claims to be "fragrance-free" but it definitely isn't

Final Comments:
I really liked this lotion. Housed in a convenient, large pump bottle, it's something that I would keep on my dresser for quick moisturization. It absorbs quickly and delivers solid moisturization. There's a light scent that's pretty and not overpowering, but if you're looking for something that's fragrance-free, this isn't it. Although I always prefer my lotions to be fragrance-free, that was the only minor complaint I had about this product.

It’s that time again to switch up my shampoo & conditioner! I’ve been using the Brilliant Brunette series from John Frieda and really loving it, so I was dying to try their new Root Awakening series.

From their website: "Formulated with natural eucalyptus to hydrate your scalp and stimulate your senses. Gently cleanses from roots to ends for more radiant and resilient hair. Nourishes to increase natural shine, manageability and bounce for healthy-looking hair in just one use."

To Purr About:
- I love the eucalyptus scent – it’s so relaxing and soothing
- leaves my hair feeling clean, refreshed and silky smooth

Final Comments:
I don’t have much to say about this shampoo & conditioner duo except that I really love it. I actually prefer its fresh and peppermint-reminiscent scent to Brilliant Brunette’s super sweet scent.

I am definitely hooked.

- scent lasts very long

- a little too scented for my liking
- not moisturizing enough for my super dry skin
- a little bit greasy

Final Comments:
Sorry Michael Kors – I love your designs, but I’m not a huge fan of this body lotion. It’s a little too scented for me (I’ve never felt the need to be so scented that I wanted all my products to be scented so I could layer my favorite scent). However I do know many woman that would love this scent – it is very flowery and pleasant and perfect for summer.

Also, it wasn’t moisturizing enough for my uber dry skin.

Product Review: Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream

I've never heard of Yu-Be before, but apparently it's a popular product in Japan.

A Glycerin-based moisturizing cream enriched with Vitamin E, Vitamin B2 and Camphor, Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream contains these leading skin conditioning ingredients (from the Yu-Be web site):
- Glycerin - natural "Humectant" attracts and retains moisture in the skin, making it softer
- Vitamin E - natural anti-oxidant and skin protector
- Vitamin B2 - helps to smooth rough or damaged skin (also gives Yu-Be it's yellow color)
- Camphor - helps soothe minor skin irritations (mild scent fades in minutes)

Other things that Yu-Be claims to do:
- helps hydrate, heal, soothe and smooth severe dry skin
- helps heal split cuticles and smooth rough, dry skin on hands, elbows, knees and feet
- helps protect and moisturize skin exposed to cold, wind, water and sun
- non-greasy formula absorbs quickly and locks in for hours
- contains no artificial colors or fragrances

To Purr About:
- absorbs super-quickly
- non-greasy
- my skin felt noticeably softer immediately after using

Claws Out:
- the camphor smell is a little off-putting at first, but it does fade pretty quickly
- online purchasing is only available to US residents
- a little expensive for a small amount

Final Comments:
The smell of this cream was a bit of a turn-off at first, but it does fade pretty quickly. And this product works really well! It absorbs really fast and leaves my skin feeling silky almost right away. The only thing is that you only get a little tube for $15 USD, so I wouldn't use this as a daily product, but perhaps for when you need a little extra soothing - I would use it mainly on hands, feet, elbows, knees, etc.

To Purr About:
- blends blush, bronzer and shimmer into 1 convenient product
- you get a lot of product in that huge compact
- very light feeling

Claws Out:
- the scent reminded me of cardboard
- a bit too orange for my complexion
- not convenient to carry around (no application tool and compact is quite large)
- can be a bit heavy if you’re not careful applying

Final Comments:
When I first applied this product it looked very 'fake-tan' to me. I realized quickly that a very little goes a long way and it is very easy to go completely overboard if you're not careful with how much you have on your brush. Once I got the hang of it I started liking it. I had to get a bit used to the smell, but after it’s applied you don’t really notice it at all – it’s only during application that I noticed an odd scent.

I think it will definitely be a nice product to have in the spring and summer seasons as it gave my skin a nice glow and shimmer to it and was quick to throw on before I ran out the door – a one step solution.

I think next time I will definitely try the Wind colour palette as it is supposed to be more terracotta and champagne hued which might suit my skin.
