Product Review: Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Reviewer: Suziesaurus

Brand: Kiehl’s
Name: Midnight Recovery Concentrate
Size: 30 ml
Price: $48 CAD

What it says on the packaging:

"The lightweight, readily-absorbed elixir effectively restores skin’s healthy appearance overnight, resulting in smoother, more radiant complexion by morning. Enriched with Squalane, a botanical lipid similar in molecular structure to natural skin lips, Evening Primrose Oil, rich in Omega-6 Fatty Acids and Essential Oils including Lavender, our formula provides a boost of essential moisture to depleted skin. These naturally derived oils instantly penetrate the skin surface to help replenish it. Our recovery concentrate works at night when skin is most receptive to repairing itself from daily aggressors. With skin hydrated, supple and soft, rest assured you can say goodnight to tired-looking skin."

To Purr About:
- improves the look of my skin
- is lightweight
- absorbs quickly in to skin
- decreased the appearance of wrinkles
- skin was soft and hydrated the next morning
- did not irritate my super sensitive skin
- drop dispenser makes it easy and mess-free to dispense the perfect amount of product

Claws Out:
- bottle is glass and isn’t that convenient for travelling

Final Comments:

I've been slowly trying more and more Kiehl's products lately and on a recent trip I had a coupon for some free samples. After a quick consultation with the salesgirl she chose three samples for me and one was the Midnight Recover Concentrate. I was pretty excited to try this product.

I really love the pretty blue glass bottle the Midnight Recovery Concentrate comes in and the awesome drop dispenser which makes it easy and mess free to dispense the exact amount of product I need so none goes to waste. The only downside to the glass bottle for me is I'm always afraid to break it especially when I'm travelling.

The Midnight Recovery Concentrate is very light and smoothes easily on to the skin. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel oily. I actually find I don't even need moisturizer at night after I apply it. After using the product for about a week I was impressed by the results. I applied the product in the evenings as directed and every morning when I woke up my skin was soft and still hydrated. It decreased the appearance of wrinkles and seemed to improve the texture and appearance of my skin.

Although this product is a tad pricey, a little does go a long way so I think it’s well worth it.

In the end, after using up the sample size I quickly went and bought a bottle and it's now part of my daily routine.

Indeed the product is quite pricey but with such a perfect rating might as well jump into the bandwagon. :) ~ www.clearclinic.com

I agree, it is better to buy something pricey that actually works than waste money on products that don't do anything at all. The reviews of this product is actually good. It is tempting especially that it battles some common signs of aging.

If it goes a long way as you say it does, then I would not mind dropping a few dollers more on a product that will actually give me results, rather than on cheap ones that hardly do anything.

I like the pretty blue bottle as well. I hope they can provide mini travel packs for this.

Hmmm....interesting. It sounds like a great product to try out. I am so curious about it since I am having problems with my dry and dull skin lately. I am thinking of trying it so I guess I have try free samples first.

I have tried Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate and I recommend this product. It is not really cheap but if you see the results, you will also agree with me when I say that every cent you paid is worth it. Your skin will look smoother and after application, you will feel fresh and clean.

I love Kiehl's products. I have really frizzy hair. Sometimes I love it but often it drives me crazy. I use SUPERBLY SMOOTHING ARGAN HAIR PAK, it makes my hair my less frizzy. Looking forward to trying The Midnight Recovery Concentrate

I have yet to try this product range by Kiehl. Although it seems pricey, I think it will do wonders for the look and feel of my skin.

I would be interested in trying this product, along with other Kiehl's products (seen their shops around here, but didn't know much about them). I hope my blemish prone skin doesn't react to the product though.

I haven't tried it yet but considering the amount of positive reviews I will have to purchase a bottle or two.

Are there any side effects to your skin? I'm talking more about negative reactions obviously.

Seeing as how everyone is saying Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a good product, I'm considering giving it a try myself. I'm just worried it'll cause me to break out because of the different oils in the product.

I've always been intrigued by Kiehl's products. I haven't had the chance to try them out, but after reading your review I'm more inclined to. I'm always apprehensive about trying new skin products since my face can break out hap hazardly.

I've been wanting to try the Midnight Recovery Concentrate for a while. After reading about how everyone who's tried it is pretty happy with the results, I'm going to go pick up a bottle later on for myself!

Great review think I will give this product a try. I also prefer to buy quality rather than worry about the price. If I cant afford it I wait till I can

I want my skin to be radiant as much as possible so I am willing to use any product. But with the price, I would want to see more, like does it remove fine lines? minimize pores? Does it really gives you a 'glow'?

Not too familiar with Kiehl's products since it was only recently that a store opened up nearby, but this sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. I guess I'll go over there to check it out for myself this weekend.

I guess it's safe to say that it is wise to buy it cause the pros outweigh the cons. :) Thanks for the review.

Sounds good to me. I love skincare products that work at night - so convenient and I wake up feeling fresh! I will definitely try to find this product. Also, what is "squalane?" I've never heard of it.

Night skincare products are the best. I feel like I'm somewhat productive even in my sleep. LOL.
