Product Review: Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream

Reviewer: Suziesaurus

Brand: Olay
Name: : Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream
Size: 50 ml
Price: $36.00 CAD

I have tried a few Olay products with positive results, so I decided to try their new Regenerist line.

From Olay’s website: "The result of over 50 years of Olay research, this luxurious cream has the highest concentration of our signature amino-peptide complex infused with intracellular fortifier and a touch of precious marine proteins.

Intracellular hydration regenerates skin’s appearance by improving volume and shape across skin’s 10 million surface cells, progressively firming to help:
  • Firm the appearance of sagging-prone areas, even the jaw line
  • Smooth skin’s surface
  • Restore elasticity"
To Purr About:
- super moisturizing and left my skin feeling plump, soft and amazing
- did not irritate my super sensitive skin
- had a pleasant (not overpowering) smell

Claws Out:
- none really

Final Comments:
Although I don’t require much "firming" of my skin at this time in my life, I did try this product as my night time moisturizer.

I don’t think I would use this as a day time moisturizer for several reasons: it would too heavy, would probably interfere with my make-up application and does not have any SPF. I would however definitely use this as a night time moisturizer, especially in the dry winter months.

It left my skin super moisturized and looking healthy and is priced quite reasonably for such a heavy-duty cream. I can’t say anything towards the "firming" properties of this cream, but while using it my wrinkles did stay at bay which is always a good thing.

My only comment against this product is that it comes in a jar format. I’m beginning to really like the pump dispensers as it seems more hygienic and reduces the likelihood of any germs on my fingers from contaminating the rest of the contents.

Anti Aging Wrinkle Creams said...

I sort of like the scent, however, I am unhappy that there is one. I had a blemish that I had self-irritated and when I applied the cream, there was a stinging that I blamed on the scent. I don't think that face anything should have added scents. It does go on nicely and makes my skin feel soft. I am 28 and don't have real signs of aging besides some faint smile lines and forehead crinkles, but prevention is the key, right! I have noticed that my slight lines seem to softening and the overall tone of my skin has been improving. I have been implicating some new exfoliation techniques though, which could be the source. I can say that I have also used Prevera cream and I really like it. I was sold by the advertising of Regenerist and will finish the product I have but, will be returning to Prevera. BTW, I never felt that stinging, which I mentioned before, with Prevera makes it seem like a more gentle product.
