The Costa Blu line was introduced this past year, and is a premium line of bath and body products only available at Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada. Their products are not only affordable, but allow us to bring a bit of the spa in to our home.
With the dry winter weather hitting us full force I have to try new products as my regular products just aren’t cutting it.
Cinnamon Kitten previously reviewed the Honey, Lemon and Sweet Almond Body Lotion, so I was curious how this product line would be on my skin.
To Purr About:
- convenient pump dispenser
- lemony scent
- very light – not heavy or oily
Claws Out:
- leaves my skin feeling a little bit greasy
- doesn’t leave my skin feeling very moisturized
Final Comments:
I don’t think I’ve ever tried a spray on product to help cure me of my dry skin. And when I first pumped some of this product on to my skin, I was scared it would be super greasy, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
Unfortunately it didn’t leave my skin feeling as moisturized and smooth as I was hoping it would. I’m not sure if this is really the fault of the product or the fact that I have extremely dry and finicky skin. I’m also not a huge fan of the smell - it reminded me of Pledge and I felt like just finished polishing a coffee table or something.
All in all I don’t think I’ll be keeping this product in regular routine – it just wasn’t as luxurious as I hope it would be. On to the next product!

I agree with the writer on some points. I've tried the Bergamot (etc) and Rosemary (etc). My husband really likes the Bergamot, and I really liked the Rosemary! I find the lotion to have a longer lasting effect than my current "purse" lotion and does not leave my hands greasy or slick after application. The dry oil spray is great for me, after I swim, I can spray it on my back, putter around then get dressed without worrying about the oil staining my clothing, because it is quickly absorbed. In the shower, the bodywashes have amazing scents that appeal to masculine and feminine users!
